LIMS and lab data systems, ranked by what they publish about how they handle your data.

Public transparency score, not a product or security rating. Transparency means: published on the vendor's own site, readable without a login, found by us at the addresses we checked.

Before the demo

Choosing laboratory software: follow one sample

Start with a synthetic sample workflow. Sample tracking, experiment notes and instrument files can require different modules. The public disclosure ranking does not establish functional fit or a replacement for your current system.

Sample and aliquot relationships

Follow a parent sample into its aliquots and back. Agree the quantity rules and try a split that exceeds the available volume. A copied row is not enough to demonstrate lineage.

Imports, corrections and review

Try an unknown sample ID, an unexpected unit and a repeated file. Correct a result, keep the earlier value and check what happens after reviewer approval. Record the tested version and settings.

Usable export and open requirements

Have a second person reconstruct the sample, raw file and correction from the export. Keep untested cases open. Failed or open mandatory requirements cannot be balanced away by other successes.

Full trial checklist and CSV worksheet

A trial you can repeat

Use invented sample SYN-LAB-001 with 10 mL, create two linked 4 mL aliquots, import a synthetic result, correct it and inspect the export. The full checklist adds invalid input, retry, review and recovery cases. It does not provide system validation or clinical/regulatory approval.

LabWare lists sample management, instrument integration and multiple deployment options. These vendor statements help identify separate questions for your own trial. LabWare: LIMS scope. Source reviewed 2026-10-17. The trial questions are editorial guidance, not additional measured criteria.

Narrow it down

Each of these lists the Laboratory information systems vendors that meet one condition, with the source for each, and appears only where at least 8 of them meet it.

This category, criterion by criterion

How this market does on each criterion, with its own share and how it compares with the rest.

Every result links its source on the vendor page. A grey segment means we could not measure it, not that it is missing. See how we score.
